Russia has confirmed that President Vladimir Putin will speak with his US counterpart Donald Trump tomorrow.
"Yes, that's correct, such a conversation is being prepared for Tuesday," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said this morning, foreign media reported.
Peskov did not discuss the details of the phone conversation, saying the Kremlin never reveals details in advance, writes A2 CNN.
"We never do that, we don't get the details out in advance," he said.
Recall that earlier today, Trump said that the conversation with Putin will take place to discuss a solution to end the war in Ukraine.
"We'll see if we have something to announce maybe by Tuesday. I'll be talking to President Putin on Tuesday," Trump said.
"A lot of work was done over the weekend. We want to see if we can end that war," he added.
Although Russia failed in its original goal of 'breaking' Ukraine with its invasion three years ago, it still controls large areas of the country.
Trump said that Ukrainian land and power plants are part of the conversation about ending the war, writes A2 CNN.
"We're going to talk about land. We're going to talk about power plants," he said, describing it as "separation of certain assets." (A2 Televizion)
