Traffic on the first section of Tirana's Grand Ring Road will be temporarily restricted on March 8 and 9.
The ARA informs drivers that the traffic diversion is being carried out as part of the final phase, which coincides with the laying of asphalt concrete on the axis from "Eagle Square" to the "Tirana River" bridge.
"As part of the final phase of road construction works in the facility: "Completion, Reconciliation and Continuation of Works on the Eagle Square-Tirana River, Lot 1 and QMT", part of the Tirana Grand Ring Road, on 08-09.03.2025, it is planned to lay the asphalt concrete layer on the main axis of this segment, specifically from the former Eagle Square to the Tirana River bridge", informs ARRSH.
The authority further explains that the traffic diversion will take place during the night hours between 20:00 and 06:00.
"On 08.03.2025 from 20:00 to 06:00, works will be carried out on the right side of the main axis and as a result, vehicle movement will be blocked in Tunnels No. 2 (traffic flow coming from the Tirana-Durrës highway towards the Northern Ring Road) and Tunnel No. 1 (traffic flow coming to the main axis from Teodor Keko towards the Northern Ring Road). On 09.03.2025 (from 20:00 to 06:00), there will be works on the left side and traffic should be diverted to the Paskuqan underpass, directing vehicles to the roads connecting to this junction," announces the ARRSH.
Meanwhile, the works contractor, in collaboration with the Albanian Road Authority, has taken all necessary measures for traffic management and requests the understanding of drivers and residents of the area for this diversion. (A2 Televizion)
