The General Appeal has upheld the 30-year prison sentence imposed by the Kruja Court on Agron Tufa, accused of the macabre crime of murdering and then burying Kejsi Hysa, an event that occurred in Nikël, Kruja, in 2018.
A2 CNN reports that Tufa was arrested earlier in Bari, Italy, after cooperating with Italian police.
We recall that Hysa's body was hidden near Nikla, while it is suspected that the incident occurred due to drug dealing.
"Yesterday, on 05.01.2024, at around 21.00, as a result of information received by the Serious Crimes Directorate of the Criminal Police Department regarding the exact location with coordinates in Bari, Italy, of the internationally wanted person, Agron TUFA, sentenced by the Krujë Court to 30 years in prison for murder.
"We collaborated with our Italian colleagues and after the continuous correspondence we had with Interpol Rome and after information about the exact location, in Bari, it became possible to capture and arrest citizen Agron Tufa," the police statement said when Tufa was arrested, writes A2 CNN.
