It only took one decision for Vladimir Putin to reach out to our region. The Russian Foreign Ministry says that the sentencing of the leader of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, will have catastrophic consequences for Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as for the Balkans as a whole.
According to Belgrade media reports, government officials in Moscow believe that the charges against Dodik were filed based on a law that, for Russia, was arbitrarily imposed by the High Representative, Christian Schmid, writes A2 CNN.
"The one and a half year trial from the very beginning was nothing more than a parody of the judiciary and an open mockery of the foundations of the rule of law. The persecution of Milorad Dodik has a purely political character, inspired by the West," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement. (A2 Televizion)
