Serbia claims that it will never allow the Association of Municipalities with a Serbian majority to be a non-governmental organization. This was stated by the director of the so-called office for Kosovo in the Serbian government, Petar Petkovic, who asked to have executive powers.
"The association is the only mechanism for the survival of the Serbian people in Kosovo", he said.
Petkovic further added that it should be formed in accordance with the 2013 and 2015 agreements, the Constitution of Serbia, the UN charter and Security Council Resolution 12 44.
"The Constitution of Serbia is sacred. There are no media conferences, nor references to the so-called Constitutional Court of Kosovo, which has no credibility outside individual cabinets or foreign embassies, that can suspend or cancel it", said Petkovic, reacting to the statements of the American ambassador in Pristina .
