A 6.4-magnitude earthquake struck Taiwan shortly after midnight on Tuesday, causing significant damage to several buildings and injuring at least 27 people, according to local authorities.
Six of the injured, including a one-month-old baby, were rescued from a house that collapsed in Nanxi District, Tainan. Fortunately, no casualties were reported, however rescue teams continue to work and assess the aftermath of the earthquake.
The epicenter of the earthquake was in Dapu city, Chiayi county, and was recorded at a depth of 9.7 kilometers, according to reports from authorities. (A2 Televizion)
