A man armed with a knife was arrested on Monday morning after trying to enter the offices of the Belgian prime minister in Brussels.
Prime Minister Alexandre de Croix was outside the office at the time of the incident, which caused no injuries, but is " very shaken ", according to a spokesman contacted by AFP.
" We are very relieved that there were no injuries ", added the spokesperson.
The authorities have launched an investigation to determine the motives and profile of the attacker, while the Prime Minister's spokesman declared for the newspaper Le Soir that " the person was sent to the police station ".
On platform 'X', Alexander De Cro assured that he is " closely monitoring the situation " and declared that " he is relieved that no one was hurt ". (A2 Televizion)
