Since a ceasefire was agreed last night, Israel has targeted a location in Gaza where a woman is being held hostage, a spokesman for Hamas' armed wing said, foreign media reported.
"After the announcement of the agreement, the enemy army targeted a location where one of the female prisoners of the first phase of the expected agreement was located," Abu Obeida of the al Qassam Brigades said in a statement, A2 CNN writes.
He also claimed that Israel used an airstrike, rather than a targeted attack on a specific target.
"Any aggression and shelling at this stage by the enemy could turn a prisoner's freedom into a tragedy," he added.
Israel has yet to comment on Hamas's claims. The ceasefire agreement has yet to be passed by the Israeli parliament, following Prime Minister Netanyahu's claims that his country should retain control over Gaza.
The ceasefire agreement was welcomed by several world leaders, including incumbent US President Joe Biden and President-elect Donald Trump. (A2 Televizion)
