At least two people were killed and dozens injured after a car plowed into a crowd at a Christmas market in the German city of Magdeburg on Friday, local authorities said.
An adult and a baby died in the attack and the suspected driver has been arrested, Saxony-Anhalt state Prime Minister Reiner Haseloff said in a televised statement.
At least 68 people were injured, 15 of them seriously, according to a statement posted on the city's Facebook page.
Meanwhile, there are also reactions from Albania regarding the serious event. President Barjam Begaj and Prime Minister Edi Rama said they were horrified by this event and expressed their solidarity with Germany.
"Albania strongly condemns this barbaric act and stands in solidarity with Germany at this painful moment. We remain united against terrorism and violent extremism", said Prime Minister Rama, writes A2 CNN.
Our Foreign Ministry reported that there were no Albanians injured in the terrorist attack, while Minister Igli Hasani expressed deep shock at the news of the cruel attack in Magdeburg.
