New York police have arrested a man who allegedly set a woman on fire at a train station, who later died of her injuries.
Police spokeswoman Jessica Tisch described the incident as "one of the most heinous and ruthless crimes a person can commit against another human being."
She discovered that the woman was near a train when the perpetrator approached her and used a lighter to set her clothes on fire. From the dynamics of the event and the inspection of the security cameras, the investigators came to the conclusion that the victim and the perpetrator did not know each other.
The man then sped away on another train, only to be arrested minutes later at the Herald Square station, which is located near the Empire State Building in Manhattan. (A2 Televizion)
