ISW: Russia changes drone tactics

Russia is changing its drone tactics on the battlefield, reports the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).

According to foreign media, in its latest update, the US-based institute noted that Russian forces had struck a military hospital and civilian infrastructure in the city of Kharkiv over the weekend.

Their report notes that Russian military bloggers affiliated with the Kremlin agree with a recent report by the German newspaper Bild that Russian forces have "changed their long-range drone strike tactics and now have drones that roam several kilometers from their targets at high altitudes," before carrying out multiple drone strikes.

"Military bloggers further speculated that these tactics have facilitated recent Russian airstrikes on Kharkiv, Odessa, and Dnipro," ISW says, writes A2 CNN.

We reported earlier that Russia had attacked the city of Kharkiv in northeastern Ukraine for the second night in a row.

And over the weekend, Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Russia had shot down more than 1,000 drones over the past week. (A2 Televizion)
