Israel's relentless bombardment of the Gaza Strip continues, with at least 16 Palestinians killed in overnight attacks into the early hours of the morning. Two of them died in an airstrike on the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, while several deaths were reported in an IDF strike on Khan Younis, in southern Gaza, A2 CNN reports.
The new attack comes hours after Israeli forces bombed Nasser Hospital in Gaza, killing at least two people, including Hamas leader Ismail Barhoum.
Footage verified by Al Jazeera shows extensive destruction in the facility's men's surgery ward, including collapsed ceilings, broken doors and walls, and floors covered in debris, writes A2 CNN.
Meanwhile, US airstrikes have hit two areas in Yemen, including a densely populated neighborhood in the capital, Sanaa, killing at least one person and wounding 15 others, reports A2 CNN.
Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio held a phone call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to reiterate America's support for Israel, the US State Department said in a statement. The secretary discussed the ongoing Israeli military operations in Gaza and efforts to help free the hostages and bring them home.
Gaza's Health Ministry says at least 50,021 Palestinians have been confirmed dead and 113,274 wounded in Israel's war on Gaza. The Gaza Government Media Office updated its death toll to more than 61,700, saying thousands of Palestinians missing under the rubble are presumed dead.
