Joe Biden reacts after being diagnosed with cancer: It touches us all! Thank you

Former US President Joe Biden expressed his gratitude to all those who have sent him messages after he announced his cancer diagnosis on Sunday.

"Cancer affects us all," Biden wrote on social media Monday morning, foreign media reported.

"Like many of you, Jill and I have learned that we are stronger. Thank you for lifting us up with love and support," he continued, writes A2 CNN.

On Sunday, Biden's office revealed that he had been diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer that has spread to his bones.

The news comes as new questions are being raised about the former president's health while he was in office.

"On Friday, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, characterized by a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) with bone metastases," Biden's office said in a statement.

"While this represents a more aggressive form of the disease, the cancer appears to be hormone-sensitive, which allows for effective management," he further said.

A Gleason score of 9 means his disease is classified as "high-grade" and the cancer cells can spread quickly, according to Cancer Research UK.

Questions have been raised about how long he may have had this cancer and whether the disease was affecting him while he was still in office.

Biden said his diagnosis was announced on Friday, after he reported urinary symptoms which led doctors to find a small lump in his prostate.

Following the cancer diagnosis, many people have offered their support to Biden, including President Donald Trump, former President Barack Obama, and former Vice President Kamala Harris.

King Charles, who is undergoing treatment for an undisclosed cancer, has offered his support and sent his best wishes to Biden.

Vice President JD Vance also offered his support, but questioned whether the American people had a clear picture of Biden's health while the former president was in office. (A2 Televizion)
