Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has dampened enthusiasm for the minerals deal with the US, telling the media that such a deal could pass quietly.

Zelensky also lied to Donald Trump about the $500 billion debt, saying that nothing is true, A2 writes.

"This agreement can be a great success, or it can pass by quietly. And the great success depends on our conversation with President Donald Trump. There is no agreement that comes next yet. It would be more difficult, more serious, because the next agreement is about the fund. It will include certain partner relations, money, etc. This agreement must be ratified in the Ukrainian parliament," Zelensky said.

"Of course, this agreement is about the economy. But I asked for at least an understanding that we are looking at things in the same way: that all this is part of future security guarantees. So, even in the framework agreement I wanted there to be at least one sentence "Security guarantees for Ukraine. As far as I was informed by government officials, this sentence is now. The main thing for me is that we are not debtors. There is no debt of $500 billion in the agreement, neither $350, nor $100 billion because that would be unfair," the Ukrainian President added.
