Americans are rebelling against Donald Trump. Millions of people have taken to the squares and main streets of many cities in the United States to oppose what are considered harmful and dictatorial policies of President Trump and his right-winger Elon Musk, who heads the Department of Government Efficiency.
"We are afraid for our democracy," said a participant in the rally held in South Carolina, writes A2 CNN.
"The worst thing is that he is already talking about not leaving after this term and about running for a third term, and that is scary to me," the protester added.
“Hands Off,” in Albanian, “Keep Your Hands Off,” is the slogan of the largest protest against Trump and Musk in the US since the Republican returned to the White House. Over 1,200 demonstrations were organized in 50 US states. The protests affected cities from New York to Boston, from San Francisco to Portland. But the epicenter was Washington, where thousands of people gathered at the National Mall under the Washington Monument, a few meters from the White House.
“Wake up and smell the coup,” “Trump plays golf while the US burns,” “Aren’t you being taxed?” were some of the slogans held by protesters. Many warn to “keep your hands off” democracy, healthcare, and everything that has ended up in the eyes of Trump and Musk, depicted on billboards as two Nazis. (A2 Televizion)
