Following Elon Musk's declarations that only the AfD can save Germany, the American multi-billionaire and AfD party chancellor candidate Alice Weidel will meet on Thursday evening (19:00) at platform X for a bilateral discussion.
The event is entitled "Space" and will focus on the current political situation on the eve of the February 23 parliamentary elections in Germany. As a spokesman for Weidel announced, the issue of freedom of expression will also be discussed during the conversation.
The conversation will be held in English and can be followed live by anyone on the X platform. Questions from the virtual audience will also be allowed during the conversation. Musk and Weidel have yet to meet in person, according to their spokespeople.
Musk is a close adviser to the new US president, Donald Trump. The owner of Platform X and the boss of the car maker Tesla is campaigning for the right-wing populist Weidel.
Musk: The last hope for Germany
A few days ago, Elon Musk wrote on the X platform that only the AfD can save Germany. He also strengthened this position in an article published in the weekly German newspaper "Welt am Sonntag". Musk writes: "The Alternative for Germany can save Germany from becoming a shadow of its past. Germany has become comfortable in mediocrity – now is the time for bold change, and the AfD is the only party that can open it up. this way." /DW (A2 Televizion)
