UK Defence Secretary John Healey has issued a stark warning to "potential adversaries" following the Prime Minister's visit to military facilities yesterday.
Sir Keir Starmer warned yesterday that Vladimir Putin would sabotage any peace deal in Ukraine unless the country is supported by a willing coalition of forces he is trying to create.
Speaking to The Times, Healey said: "Our nuclear deterrent is there for every situation. It is the ultimate guarantor for any potential adversary."
"We have the power to inflict untold damage on them if they attack us," he added.
"We shouldn't fight over the fact that we are a nuclear power, that we have an independent nuclear deterrent," he further said.
