Vladimir Putin has finally broken the ice with the West, as he has announced that he will address the meeting of the G20 countries with a video message today.
The Kremlin said on Monday that Putin would use the speech to present Russia's concern about a "deeply unstable world situation".
This will mark the first event since the start of the invasion of Ukraine that will involve Putin and Western leaders, so it will be interesting to see how the leaders of the US, Great Britain, France and Germany will react to Putin's speech.
It will be Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi who will chair the virtual summit, with Putin speaking at around 1:30 p.m.
It is expected that in his speech on the troubled global situation, Putin will emphasize Russia's neutral role in this situation.
The Israel-Hamas war is also likely to be at the forefront of the Kremlin leader's speech, who is expected to rail against what he sees as the US's imperial and colonial stance. (A2 Televizion)
