Defense spending is "already increasing," says NATO chief Mark Rutte, but he adds that "we need to do more, much more."
"It is clear from our discussions today that allies recognize the need to invest much more," he adds, foreign media report.
He says two-thirds of allies are spending at least 2% of their GDP on defense, but adds that "we need to do more" and it needs to be "faster."
"We need to move to a wartime mentality and we need the industry to move to us," he adds, writes A2 CNN.
We recall that US President Donald Trump has exerted constant pressure on NATO allies to increase defense spending.
