A scandal has erupted in Italy, since in an Instagram story, a teacher from the Treviso area wrote: "Go to hell, Hitler was right about you Jews."
The post was only up for a short time and then deleted from the profile of H-Farm di Roncade school teacher, but she risks disciplinary action.
After that, the video was discovered by a student who saved it on her mobile phone and showed it to her parents. From there the "screenshot" spread through the phones to the families of other students.
Math teacher Hanane Hammoud admitted to the post before the school's board of trustees, claiming she did so in a moment of psychological distress.
This morning the teacher met with students to explain and apologize, saying she is "devastated" by what is happening because of the hate speech against Israel.
The teacher was born in Lebanon, where she received a degree in science and then specialized in mathematics at the American University of Dubai.
She teaches mathematics to high school students of many nationalities, often engaging from the campus itself in current affairs discussions related not only to the Palestinian issue, but also to the conflict in Ukraine. (A2 Televizion)
