Meeting in the Oval Office, Zelensky shows Trump photos of prisoners of war

Today, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, paid a visit to the United States of America, where he met with his counterpart Donald Trump in the Oval Office.

According to foreign media, during their conversation, Zelenskyy showed Trump photos of Ukrainian prisoners of war held by Russia.

Zooming in on one of the images shows the name Volodymyr Shevchenko, writes A2 CNN.

Shevchenko apparently spent more than two years in a Russian prison as a prisoner of war, according to a website.

"They kept him in a cell with 15 other people," the website akmu says. "They beat us every day," he said, A2 CNN reports.

Unlike yesterday's 'flattery' from British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Zelenskyy appears to be confronting Trump with the harsh reality of the struggle for Ukrainians since Russia's invasion. (A2 Televizion)
