China is "deeply concerned" about Israeli attacks on Iran, its leader Xi Jinping said.
According to foreign media, these are his first public comments regarding the conflict that erupted on Friday.
He was speaking on the sidelines of a summit with five other Central Asian countries in the Kazakh capital, Astana, writes A2 CNN.
Xi said China opposes any action that undermines the sovereignty, security and territorial integrity of other countries.
"All parties should work to de-escalate the conflict as soon as possible and prevent the situation from further worsening," Xi said, in comments quoted by Chinese state broadcaster CCTV. (A2 Televizion)
