Isak Andic, the billionaire founder of the fashion firm Mango, died in an accident on Saturday, writes A2 CNN. The news was given by his company in an official press release.
Spanish media reported that the 71-year-old fell into a gorge while hiking in a mountain range near Barcelona. According to "El Pais", his son was with him when he slipped.
The Turkish-born businessman founded Mango in Barcelona in 1984; today the company has extended its activity to 120 countries. According to Forbes, Andic's fortune was $4.5 billion.
Mango CEO Toni Ruiz said in a statement: “His departure leaves a great void, but all of us are, in some way, a testament to his achievements. Now it's up to us that Mango continues to be the project that Isak wanted it to be and that he was proud of." (A2 Televizion)
