A terrible tragedy has shocked the United States of America. At least 24 people have died and 25 children from a summer camp remain missing after a flood hit the state of Texas.
US President Donald Trump called the tragedy that occurred on US Independence Day a shocking and horrific development, writes A2 CNN.
"Federal officials are coming to our aid," said Texas Governor Greg Abbott, adding that search and rescue operations were continuing without interruption.
The water level is reported to have risen very rapidly, causing the river to overflow its banks, reports A2 CNN.
"Within 45 minutes, the Guadalupe River burst its banks, causing devastating flooding," a Texas official said. Authorities have clarified to parents that declaring people missing does not mean they may have died. (A2 Televizion)
