WSJ: Trump administration is looking for countries to send deportees from the

The US administration of President Donald Trump is engaged in efforts to reach agreements with several other countries to take in immigrants deported from the US, according to officials familiar with the matter, The Wall Street Journal reported.

Immigration officials are looking for more destinations where they can send immigrants the US wants to deport, writes A2 CNN.

Among them, according to this report, is Kosovo. Among the countries that the US has asked to take the deportees are Libya, Rwanda, Benin, Eswatini, Moldova, Mongolia and Kosovo.

It is also learned that the US hopes that these countries will agree to the Trump administration's demands, perhaps in exchange for financial deals or political gain to help the President fulfill one of his top domestic priorities, writes A2 CNN.

Their desired model is based on a one-time deal the administration reached with Panama in February, under which they sent a plane carrying more than 100 migrants, mostly from the Middle East, to the Central American country. Panama then detained the migrants and worked to send them back to their countries of origin. (A2 Televizion)
