Closing Serbia's illegal structures, EU "pulls Kurti's ear":

The European Union has reacted following recent Kosovo Police operations, inspections and closures of several public service facilities in the north, identified as illegal Serbian structures.

According to the EU spokesperson, the recent police operations risk escalating tensions and negatively impacting the daily lives of communities, as well as damaging Kosovo's international image.

"We are particularly concerned about the operations against the company 'Vodovod Ibar' in North Mitrovica, as well as against the water supply plant and the public utility company in Zubin Potok, which provide essential services to communities living in the northern part of Kosovo. Unilateral and uncoordinated actions undermine efforts to build trust between communities ," the response states.

The EU further calls on the acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti to stop these operations and show restraint by avoiding escalating measures.

" We call on both parties, Kosovo and Serbia, to engage constructively in the EU-facilitated dialogue on the implementation of the Agreement on the Road to Normalization and the Implementation Annex, as well as other agreements reached within the framework of the EU-facilitated dialogue, without further delay or preconditions. This includes the establishment of the Association of Serb-Majority Municipalities. Normalization of relations is an essential condition for the European path of both parties ," the response states.
