100 euros for pensioners, Kurti approves the year-end package. Experts express

Pensioners in Kosovo will receive an additional 100 euros from the government. Children in the age group from 0 to 16 also benefit from the same amount. The decision of the Kosovo government was confirmed by the Prime Minister of the country Albin Kurti and the Minister of Finance Hekuran Murati in a press conference. The Prime Minister, Kurti said that this is not only a gift for the end of the year from the state, but an investment in the welfare of children without distinction and support for pensioners who contributed and built our state.

"Dear children, all of you who are between the ages of 0 and 16, and who are recipients of monthly child allowances, will benefit from 100 euros each this year. This is not only a gift of the end of the year from your country, but it is an investment in the well-being of all children without distinction... But, in addition to investing in children who are our present and especially our future, we must take care to support them as well those who contributed and built the state brought us here. Therefore, as we have already made it a tradition that whenever there is sufficient budget and the economy grows beyond the projections, at the end of the year we are allocating additional one-time support of 100 euros, or as some have even started to call it the 13th pension for all pensioners who qualify" , said Kurti.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Finance Hekuran Murati added that there is no need for any additional application as according to him they have the lists of beneficiaries in their databases, both for pensioners and for the recipients of child allowances. Murati said that during this week they will try to make the technical preparations to execute the payments for this week.

"Even this year there will be additional support, as in previous years, since the budget performance has been good and we have created the necessary fiscal space. There is no need for any application, as we already have the beneficiary lists in our databases for both pensioners and children receiving allowances, so there will be no need for an application. But, we will try to make all the technical preparations during this week, so that the payments can be executed this week", said Hekuran Murati, Minister of Finance of Kosovo.

This support package marks the fifth time within the mandate of the Kurti Government for retirees. (A2 Televizion)
