The Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) has presented the results of the largest exit poll ever conducted in Kosovo, surveying 18,000 respondents across the country.
According to this poll, the Vetevendosje Movement leads with 34% of the votes, while the LDK has reached 24%, followed by the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) with 22%.
LDK spokesman Besian Mustafa said during a press conference after the closing of polling stations that the preliminary results collected by commissioners on the ground coincide with the data published by this exit poll.
"I want to thank all those who have given their trust to the LDK through their vote. The preliminary data that comes to us from our commissioners in the field show that they coincide with the data that we have published from the LDK exit poll," he said.
He emphasized that compared to previous elections, LDK has marked a significant increase in support, doubling its result.
According to him, this result is expected to increase by "at least 2 to 3 percentage points" with the counting of diaspora votes.
"The largest exit poll ever conducted in Kosovo with 18 thousand respondents shows that VV has 34 percent, LDK 24 percent, and PDK 22 percent. So what is important to emphasize is that LDK has at least doubled the result of the past elections, not counting here and the votes that will come from the diaspora where we expect an excellent result that will increase the LDK result by at least 2 to 3 percentage points," said Mustafa.
