Livestock and agriculture are among the earliest professions that the inhabitants of the village of Zvërnec engaged in. Today, many families live off the income from these two professions. Harrilla Balli takes care of 80 sheep and goats every day.
He describes his task as extremely difficult, since according to him, there is a lack of financial support from the state. The livestock farmer says that most of the agricultural lands in Zvërnec are occupied by non-village residents, who do not allow them to graze their cattle.
He says that he sells a part of the cattle, mainly for the occasions of end-of-year holidays or religious holidays. The profits he makes from their sale, the rancher says, do not justify the cost, as well as the trouble of the whole year.
Due to the impossibility of where to graze the cattle, the rancher travels tens of kilometers every day crossing roads between vehicles, risking his life to take care of them. (A2 Televizion)
