Drivers, although often fined for wrong parking, have not been made aware. Recently, the Tirana Traffic Police has started moving vehicles that park in lanes dedicated to buses and taxis, in emergency lanes, on white lines, or in other places that block road traffic.
Gerhard Baka, a traffic specialist, explains that in addition to the fine for incorrect parking, the citizen must pay extra for the toll road service, as well as any fines or other overdue obligations.
This initiative by the police was taken due to numerous complaints that had been made in the capital about drivers who park incorrectly.
