Five Albanian citizens have been successfully evacuated from Israel following the escalation of the security situation following attacks by Iran. The news was announced by the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Igli Hasani, who confirmed that all Albanian citizens arrived safely in Athens in the early hours of the morning.
According to the minister's statement, three of them have continued their journey to Tirana and are now in Albania. Another is expected to arrive this evening, while the fifth person, who is a resident of Greece, has decided to stay in the neighboring country, writes A2 CNN.
"The MEPJ, through its embassies, has closely followed at every stage the evacuation of 5 Albanians from Israel, who arrived safely in Athens in the early hours of the morning," said Hasani.
The evacuation comes at a time of high tension in the Middle East, following direct attacks between Israel and Iran, which have increased the risk for civilians and foreigners in the conflict zone. (A2 Televizion)
