The world's first museum ship "Art Explora" arrives at the Port of Durres, offering a traveling festival that sails across the seas and oceans aboard the world's first museum ship, bringing innovative cultural and artistic experiences, free of charge.
The festival takes place on board the museum ship that will be moored in the Port of Durrës as well as in the exhibition pavilions on the pier and in a number of locations within the host cities, including our country. From spring 2024, this ship has embarked on a journey that will stop in 15 Mediterranean countries until 2027, which are the cradle of great civilizations and the intersection of cultures – connecting artists, exhibition curators, cultural, educational and NGO organizations that will all together imagine a new vision of the Mediterranean. 5 of these stops are co-financed by the European Union, through the Creative Europe program.
After six stops in 2024, the Art Explora Festival will make its first stop of 2025 in Durrës from April 10 to 21. Completely free, the festival will take place on board the world’s first museum ship as well as in the exhibition pavilions on the quay. The festival’s program of activities will combine exhibitions, virtual reality experiences, conferences, film screenings, various installations, poetry readings, concerts, with workshops and tours tailored to all types of audiences, including students and associations. The activities over the 10 days will stop in Durrës and Tirana, part of which will be on the museum ship and in the exhibition pavilions. (A2 Televizion)
