Bad weather covers Albania, this is how the road, energy, port and airport

The Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy has reacted to the situation created as a result of the bad weather in the country, announcing that the ministry and its dependent agencies are on full alert in the four corners of the country.

The working groups of the Albanian Road Authority and the Electricity Distribution Operator, with increased tools and capacities, are on the ground to respond to any problem as a result of the worsening weather, writes A2 CNN.

ROAD ACCESSES

Despite the difficult weather conditions, the national road segments are open and passable.

In the Vau i Dejës-Pukë-Fushë Arrëz-Kalimash mountain axis, the snowfall continues. In Qafë Mali, the snow thickness reaches up to 50 cm. g"Groups on the ground are continuing to clean the road. the use of winter tires and chains is recommended.

In the segment Klos-Peshkopi there was snowfall accompanied by strong wind, the use of chains is recommended.

In Bajram Curri-Valbonë, Ura Bujan-Qafë Morinë (customs), Sopot-Kerrnaj, Qafë Mejdan-Tropojë-Buçaj, B. Curri-Fierzë, B. Curri-Cerrnice, Sopot-Kam, the snowfall has stopped, the snow removal equipment are located in the field, where the salt is being distributed.

In the Central Region, on Dajti road, there was intense snowfall. Vehicles with summer tires are creating problems, as they block the road, turning into an obstacle even for snowplows.

In the Korça region, there was snowfall in Qafë Thane and Qafë Plloçë. On the Podgorie-Kryqëzim Liqenas road axis, snowfall continues with low intensity. Snow plows are on site, where road cleaning and salt distribution are being done.

SUPPLY OF ELECTRICAL ENERGY

As a result of the weather, there were problems with the supply of energy in the 10/6 kV feeders that supply energy mainly to rural areas deep in the mountains. In the Kukës region, there have been no serious problems with lines and energy supply.

During lunch hours, there were problems in the Elbasan and Berat regions.

During the morning, the Radhime Substation was closed for safety reasons, as there was a high level of water from the heavy rains. Currently, this substation has been restored to work and the situation has normalized.

There are currently 42 problem feeders across the country. DSO has 1,500 employees with 196 vehicles engaged in the field.

No problems are reported in the transmission lines, while in the Drin cascade the situation is presented with normal flow.

WATER SUPPLY

At the pumping station in Lezhë and Kurbin, there is a power outage and work is underway to restore normality. However, there is no interruption in the water supply. In the rest of the country, the water supply situation and wastewater treatment plants are in optimal conditions.

PORTS AND AIRPORTS

Due to meteorological conditions, ferries on the Durrës-Bari-Durrës line will not operate, while those on the Durrës-Ankona-Durrës line will operate normally. (A2 Televizion)
