This Thursday marks the deadline for all commercial entities located near national road axes to voluntarily relocate from the spaces they have occupied and that pose a risk to road safety.
After this deadline, the relevant institutions will take punitive measures against any entity that refuses to implement the decision and vacate areas less than 20 meters from the road axis.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku, has emphasized that road safety is an absolute priority for the Albanian government.
"Commercial entities must immediately vacate areas near national highways, which have become a source of danger for road users," said Balluku.
She described this intervention as a profound reform in the function of legality and the restoration of control over the territory of the Republic of Albania. According to her, the action has spread throughout the country, from tents set up in residential areas to illegal parking lots that have usurped common spaces or important road areas from north to south.
"This reform will lead to the liberation of every centimeter of illegally occupied space," declared the Deputy Prime Minister.
Balluku added that state structures are on the ground to closely follow the process and called for cooperation from citizens.
"Much of our information comes precisely from citizen complaints, which in most cases prove to be accurate and help in rapid interventions," she said.
The Minister invited all citizens to continue reporting cases of violations of public spaces or road safety, while underlining that the Albanian government is more committed than ever to guaranteeing a safe and orderly environment for all. (A2 Televizion)
