Before knocking on the doors of the European Union, Albania must be ready. For a "yes" instead of a "no", the country must first integrate economically and have finances and sustainable development at its center.
For this purpose, the country continues to receive assistance from the World Bank, which recently approved a loan worth 120 million dollars.
“The package of reforms we are supporting through this program aims to strengthen Albania’s development prospects. This financing will help the country address key challenges in the energy sector as well as enhance the government’s ability to manage fiscal risks and better support vulnerable segments of the population,” said Richard Record, Acting World Bank Country Manager for Albania.
"Opportunities conditioned by challenges" on the difficult path to membership in the "union" with the ambitious objective of 2030 is also accepted by international institutions.
Therefore, to facilitate the journey, the country will be assisted in strengthening fiscal space, expanding the energy market, and protecting the environment.
The World Bank, meanwhile, assesses that Albania's macroeconomic policy framework remains stable, characterized by a manageable fiscal deficit, declining public debt, and a stable monetary policy supported by prudent measures and supervision. (A2 Televizion)
