The predictions for a positive trend of economic growth next year are presented by the Bank of Albania.
An increase of 0.1% touching the level of 3.8%, the director of Monetary Policy, Erald Themeli, considers it stable for the Albanian economy: "In our analyzes and forecasts, we think that the Albanian economy will have a growth trend and development both in 2024 and in the further time horizon".
In the expectations of the 2024 draft budget, it is emphasized that the main sectors of the economy will continue to grow with trends close to their historical average. Specifically, agriculture is expected to give an average annual contribution to economic growth of about 0.4 percentage points, industry 0.5%, construction 0.3% and services 2.2%.
But how will this translate to citizens? Themeli said: "Albanian economy will continue to grow, which will enable increase in employment, increase in wages, increase in the welfare of families and also keep the balances of private business healthy, but also sustainable development of the country in the long term" .
Against the positive expectations of Albanian institutions, the World Bank speaks of a more moderate growth of the economy as a result of further increases in food and energy prices, public-private partnership contracts and natural disasters, which pose a risk to economic progress.
Average annual growth in the medium term is expected at the level of 4%. (A2 Televizion)
