Nearly 100 bullets terrorized the residents of the village of Gruemirë in Malësia e Madhe last night. Three citizens of the Kurtaj family from the village of Linaj in Malësia e Madhe were part of this gun attack against them. Two masked people on a motorbike shot at a vehicle carrying Mirsad, Besim and Edison Kurtaj.
According to the testimony of these three people, it all started in the early hours of the morning of February 1. A2 CNN reports that two masked men who were heading towards a mountainous area on a motorbike suddenly shot with shotguns the security cameras in the Kurtaj family's apartment, which they had placed because they have some animals in front of the house that they keep.
After a few hours, in the afternoon after 18:00, the two citizens on the motorcycle returned and the three members of the Kurtaj family who were waiting for them to return recognized the motorcycle. At that moment, they tried to stop them to ask them why the security cameras were shooting, but these two citizens, still unidentified, continued on their way.
A2 CNN learns that the three members of the Kurtaj family were followed by a vehicle and the two citizens who were riding a motorcycle started shooting with Kalashnikovs this time. A chase that lasted about 10 minutes accompanied by gunfire and nearly 100 bullets. The two perpetrators shot at the ground with the intention of stopping the pursuit of them and not at the vehicle.
The person who was in the back of the motorcycle, A2 CNN reports, fell to the ground while driving away and entered a field, continuing to shoot from there.
Meanwhile, the other person continued on the road, also shooting until he managed to escape in an unknown direction.
The three citizens of the Kurtaj family have given their testimony at the Malësi e Madhe police station, saying that they have no idea who the citizens are who initially shot the security cameras at the apartment in Linaj and then in their direction during the car chase.
