Vlora police have arrested a 54-year-old man for the incident four days ago, where a firearm owned by a 17-year-old was seized on the Fier-Vlora highway.
The blue uniforms explain that they have handcuffed the taxi driver, in which the teenager was a passenger, where the firearm was also found.
"The Specialists for the Investigation of Serious Crimes, of the Vlora Police Department, following the investigative actions carried out within the framework of the police operation "The Passenger", based on information provided by police intelligence, arrested and detained citizen IB, 54 years old, resident of Fier. During the operation conducted 4 days ago, on the "Fier - Vlora" road axis, in the trunk of the taxi with the driver citizen IB and a 17-year-old passenger, the Police services found an automatic firearm, which it is suspected that the 17-year-old, who was arrested in flagrante delicto, was transporting towards Vlora, with the intention of selling," the police announced.
From the investigative actions, it is suspected that the taxi driver is involved in this case, having collaborated with the 17-year-old to transport the firearm, in exchange for a sum of money that he would receive after selling it.
