The list of winning names that competed for the position of chief of police station in 5 vacant positions across the country has been released. The Evaluation Commission at the General Directorate of the State Police has completed the scoring phase, according to the State Police law, for the contestants.

Initially, to be the chief of the police station in the 5 vacant positions, Police Station No. 2 Tirana, Rinas, Himara, the Border Police Station Dibër and the Border Police Station Saranda, 50 police officers with the ranks of "deputy commissioner", "commissioner" and "chief commissioner" applied.

After the preliminary phase for document verification, the commission qualified 46 officers. However, 42 of them participated in the interview phase, meaning 4 police officers withdrew from the competition.

Now, at the end of the process, the minimum qualifying score to receive a possible appointment was 70 points. Under these conditions, out of 42 candidates in total, only 17 of them passed the 70-point threshold.

The winning list is headed by the Deputy Director of Tirana Police, Idris Daulle, with 74 points. He is followed by Përparim Dema, the current chief of the Rinas Police Station. This is the first time that the chief of the Rinas Police Station has been elected through a competition.

The winning list also includes other names that have previously been police chiefs, such as Oltion Agolli and Bledar Rreshka.

The only woman on the list running for chief of police station is Ediona Dano, currently head of the section for the prevention of domestic violence and the protection of minors at the Tirana Police Department. After the candidates are scored, they have 5 days to appeal. Next, it is the duty of the chief of police, Ilir Proda, to appoint the 5 winning names from among the 17 people.
