A 63-year-old man died as a result of an accident registered at noon on the Lushnjë-Berat road axis, near the village of Çukas.
Namik Halili had stopped the car and was crossing the road to go to harvest grass in a plot, when he was hit by a vehicle driven by a 54-year-old man.
"Around 12:55, on the "Lushnjë-Berat" road axis, the GI citizen, 54 years old, driving the vehicle, hit the NH citizen, about 63 years old, a pedestrian. As a result of the injuries, the NH citizen lost his life at the scene", informs the police.
The operatives at the scene accompanied the driver of the vehicle to the police station for further action. Meanwhile, the investigative team is at the scene and is working to fully clarify the circumstances of the accident. (A2 Televizion)
