SPAK has completed the preliminary investigations against Gazmir Preçi, a state police employee, former head of the Narcotics Sector at the Durrës Police Department.
According to SPAK, it turned out that the defendant Gazmir Preçi demanded and received a monetary sum of 10,000 (ten thousand) euros from citizen BT, in exchange for not exercising controls in the premises owned by him, where the "live music" activity was carried out and Albanian and foreign citizens were employed.
"The Special Prosecutor's Office against Corruption and Organized Crime, after completing the preliminary investigations for criminal proceedings no. 170 of 2024, has submitted on 03.02.2025 to the Special Court of First Instance the request for the trial of the defendant:
Gazmir Preçi, state police employee, former head of the Narcotics Sector at the Durrës Police Department, accused of committing the criminal offense of "Passive corruption of persons exercising public functions", provided for by article 259, paragraph 2, of the Criminal Code.
At the conclusion of the investigation, it emerged that the defendant Gazmir Preçi requested and received a monetary sum of 10,000 (ten thousand) euros from citizen BT, in exchange for not exercising controls in the premises owned by him, where the "live music" activity was carried out and Albanian and foreign citizens were employed.
