12 real estates and 5 commercial companies, owned by the former Minister of Environment, Lefter Koka and 4 others, are confiscated.
The police have implemented the court's decision by transferring the confiscated assets to the state. Other assets are in the name of Miklovan Xhafa, Agim Seferi, Arbër Deniz and Mateo Rustani.
In total, the confiscated property is about ALL 340 million. 88.19% of the shares of the wine cellar in Rashbull, Durrës, owned by Lefter Kokës, 8 apartments owned by other persons, as well as land real estate were confiscated.
The confiscated assets come after the conviction of these persons in connection with the corruption case of the Elbasan incinerator. On November 8 of this year, the Special Court of Appeals changed the decision for the former Minister of the Environment, Lefter Koka, finding him guilty of abuse of office as requested by SPAK, and increased the sentence by 1 year in prison.
In the end, Koka was sentenced to 10 years in prison, but due to the shortened trial, the sentence was converted to 6 years and 8 months in prison. According to the SPAK file, Lefter Koka had created in 2016 several different companies connected to each other but which he had established in the name of his trusted persons.
These companies have received huge sums of money from incinerators through fictitious invoices for works that did not exist. In addition to this sentence, Lefter Koka is continuing the battle with justice for the Fier and Tirana incinerators. (A2 Televizion)
