Pogradec Police have arrested the perpetrator of the injury of the 36-year-old man yesterday evening in Pogradec, while a 38-year-old man who helped the perpetrator to leave the scene has been released.
According to police, the perpetrator immediately fled the scene in a vehicle and was caught a few hours later. He is charged with intentional injury and the unauthorized manufacture and possession of cold weapons.

Immediately after receiving the notification that at around 20:20 yesterday evening, in neighborhood no. 3 Pogradec, an injury with a cutting tool (knife) had occurred, the services of the Pogradec Police Commissariat organized the work and immediately went to the scene. As a result of rapid investigative and operational actions, it was possible to identify the suspected perpetrator of the injury of the 36-year-old.
The investigations conducted revealed that citizen LO, immediately after the conflict, had left the scene in a "Benz" vehicle, driven by citizen AB, alias AO.
After several hours of searching, it was possible to capture the suspected perpetrator of the incident.
At the end of the first investigative actions, the Crime Investigation Specialists of the Pogradec Police Commissariat arrested citizen LO, 54 years old, resident of Pogradec, for the criminal offenses "Intentional serious injury" and "Unlicensed production and possession of cold weapons", and proceeded at large against citizen AB, alias AO, 38 years old, resident of Blace, Pogradec for the criminal offense "Supporting the perpetrator of the crime".
The vehicle and the cutting tool were seized as material evidence.
The injured person has received medical assistance and is out of danger.
The procedural materials were referred to the Korça Prosecutor's Office for further action.
