After several failed hearings, the third defendant in the sensational "Golden Bullet" case, Skerdi Tasi, gave his testimony before the Special Court this Tuesday. He revealed shocking details about the assassinations ordered in Fier, where he said he was involved along with well-known names in the criminal world.
In his testimony, Tasi said that he had met Henrik Hoxhaj in 2017, through a mutual friend, whom he identifies as Viron Tavanxhi, who also turns out to have been the one who ordered one of the assassinations.
"I met Henrik for the first time in 2017. Viron Tavanxhi introduced us to execute a person in Fier. Henrik had all the target data and an 'Alfa Romeo' car, as well as an automatic weapon," Tasi stated.
According to him, the intended victim was Agim Boriçi, a well-known name in Fier. Tasi said that on the day of the assassination, Hoxhaj had urgently notified him: "Henrik told me that the client had demanded an accounting – 'You're dragging out this job too much.'"
He added that the target was located in a bar near the park roundabout in Fier. "I took the gun and went there. When he saw me, he screamed and lay on the ground. I thought I shot him, but then he ran through the city streets and threw the pistol into the Gjanice River," Tasi confessed.
He also confirmed that the assassination was ordered by Viron Tavanxhi and that the attempt was carried out in 2018, although preparations had begun a year earlier.
Skerdi Tasi then stated that Hoxhaj had also taken on another assassination attempt, the execution of Hajredin Behari. The victim, according to him, frequented a bar across the street from his house and had a car oil shop.
Tasi's testimony is expected to play a key role in uncovering the criminal activity of the network involved in the "Golden Bullet" case, one of the largest investigations organized by SPAK against organized crime in the country. (A2 Televizion)
