28-year-old Beqir Selamaj (alias Beqir Murati), who was arrested a few days ago as part of the "Danger" police action, appeared in the Court of Vlora this Monday.
He is suspected of placing the amount of explosives in the bar "The Boss", owned by the mother of Bledar Birçaj, an event that happened on December 8.
As requested by the prosecution, the Court of Vlora imposed the security measure of "prison arrest".
As the prosecution determined, the evidence is clear and evident that he was the author of placing the tritol in the bar in Lungomare.
The defendant did not admit to the crime despite the film footage presented by the prosecution. The 28-year-old, a resident of the "Isa Boletini" neighborhood, is reported to have a criminal record in the field of narcotics and property theft.
"From the investigations, it appears that this citizen is suspected of being the author of placing the explosive substance on 08.12.2024, around 05:50, in a bar, in the neighborhood "Uji i Ftohtë", owned by the citizen RB, 73 years old, where as a result of the explosion, considerable material damage was caused", the police announced after his arrest.
