A fire broke out today near the martyrs' cemetery in Gjirokastra.
Sources for A2 CNN indicate that the incident occurred about half an hour ago, when flames were detected in the yard of a house where garbage was burning.
The fire posed a risk of spreading to surrounding homes. The fire brigade intervened immediately to isolate and then completely extinguish the fire.
No material damage or injuries were reported from the flames. Due to the intentional burning of waste in violation of the law, the resident who started the fire in his yard has been criminally charged. (A2 Televizion)
