Albanian archaeologists discovered the third Illyrian mound in the bed of the Korami stream in Himare, which is considered by researchers as one of the most surprising monuments of the Bronze and Iron period on the Ionian coast.

The third mound was discovered near the tumular cemetery of Himara, which are called such because they are tombs built into the hill. In addition to the unique architectural elements of the construction of these tombs, the director of the cultural heritage of Vlora shows the importance of this discovery for the area of Himara itself.

Archaeologists hope to discover elements of Illyrian settlements in this area, which will also be of exceptional archaeological importance. (A2 Televizion)
