Celibashi evaluates the voting process: Parties should create calm for the

The Head of the Election Commission, Ilirjan Celibashi, described Sunday's electoral process as largely in accordance with the rules and standards.

Celibashi listed the minor problems in the opening of voting centers, while asking parties to create a calm environment for the counters, as the votes are already in the boxes and will be counted one by one.

"In our assessment, in what the CEC has monitored today, the process has gone largely in accordance with the rules and standards. There were problems in the morning when the polls opened and they were addressed by us. The identification process went well, except for cases when operators did not show up and 4 cases when identification with the voter list passed.

We have exchanged information with the prosecution offices for 5 cases, information that we, as the CEC, have received and in our assessment, have forwarded to the prosecution offices. We call on the parties to create calm for the counters and members of the commission. It is advisable, although it is an obligation to comply with the law, that statements about the results by political representatives are without any value and do not contribute to the process. The votes are in the boxes. Be patient for their counting and evaluation. Preliminary result, no later than Tuesday", said Celibashi. (A2 Televizion)
