Sali Berisha chose to congratulate Albanians on Summer Day from Elbasan, where he appeared together with the Democratic Party's parliamentary candidates.
"I heartily congratulate you on this holiday, the most ancient and beautiful, the holiday of the change of nature, the holiday of hope. The summer day finds Elbasan, finds Albanians more optimistic and more confident than ever in the great change of May 11," said Berisha.
Although it was a holiday, the political messages from the opposition leader were not lacking. Berisha stopped to reveal some of the points of the DP program, which according to him will serve to revive the economy of Albanian families.
"This day inspires every Albanian to separate themselves from this regime that impoverished them to the core on May 11. Today, from Elbasan, I promise Albanians that in the first three months, what we have called the compassion package will lift every Albanian out of extreme poverty. They will have a living wage of 200 euros. There will be no pensioner who will receive less than 200 euros, regardless of how much their pension is today, regardless of whether they have a pension or not, regardless of whether they have a full or partial one. There will be a 20% increase in pensions, there will be a minimum salary of no less than 500 euros, and an average salary of 1,200 euros. We will not stop running until we become the best-paid people in the region," said Berisha.
The Democratic Leader did not spare a message for the opposition MP for the region, Dashnor Sula, who remained off the DP lists for the May 11 elections.
Sula, within the time limits for registration with the CEC, joined the "Initiative - Albania Becomes" coalition, as part of the open list of candidates in Elbasan.
"Dashnor Sula made his choice, amidst the battle in the men's square he chose Tiku and went to his work, he has time to think about it," said Berisha.
The democratic leader also called for "no vote should go to Edi Rama's crutches . "
"I will tell the citizens, no vote for Edi Rama's crutches, because they were universally invited, regardless of different opinions, if you feel like you are in the opposition, join us in the alliance.
