With over 28% of the votes counted nationwide, preliminary results show a deep advantage for the Socialist Party, which leads with 53% of the vote and is projected to secure 83 seats in the Assembly.
The Democratic Party is ranked second with 34% of the vote, having won 51 seats so far. Although the DP is significantly behind at the national level, it continues to maintain its traditional strongholds in the north of the country; Shkodra and Kukës, the only two regions currently shown in blue on the electoral map.
Meanwhile, Tom Doshi's Social Democratic Party has received 4% of the vote, which translates into 3 mandates. Also so far, they have managed to secure representation: Nisma SHB and Mundesia with 3% of the vote have won one mandate each, while Bashke with 1% of the vote has also received one mandate. Other parties have not managed to secure mandates in the Assembly until this stage of counting.
